Before checking a wood-working machine, install and debug the machine in accordance with the Operating Instructions.
In order to assess a machine with lubricating and temperature rise under normal conditions, let the machine run without load according to the working conditions and the manufacturer’s provisions until the machine’s components and parts reach appropriate temperatures.
The geometric accuracy may be inspected in the static state or after idle running of the machine. Where there are provisions for loading, the provisions for loading shall be followed.
Appearance inspection
In China, there are 11 appearance inspection items for wood-working machines and 9 for wood-based panel manufacturing machineries, of which the contents are basically the same.
1. The surface shall be visually free of any peaking, sinking, roughness or other defects as shown in the drawings.
2. The protective cover shall be level and free of any warping, protrusion or depression.
3. The edges of the exposed junction surfaces of components and parts shall be in order and in symmetry and with the alignment tolerance and asymmetry not beyond the stipulated ranges. The junction surfaces of doors, covers and machines shall be fit against each other closely. Unless otherwise specified in the product standard or technical documents, the joint gap shall not exceed the specified range.
4. Exposed components and parts shall be free of bump traces or corrosion. Bolts, rivets and pin top shall be free of any defects of twist, hammer damage, etc.
5. Rims of metal hand wheels and the surface of control handles shall be provided with a rust protection layer.
6. Plated pieces, blue ones and black ones shall show consistent hue. The protective layer shall be free of color fading or stripping.
7. The open piping of electrical system, hydraulic system, lubricating system, cooling system, and the thermodynamic system of glue regulating & supplying box shall be in compact and orderly arrangement, making it easy to operate and maintain. If necessary, the piping shall be fixed with pipe clamps.
8. The undressed surface of exposed parts shall be painted.
9. Various tags shall be visible and durable. The nameplate shall be fixed in a visible position. The tags shall be fixed securely in proper positions and shall be smooth and free of skewing after fixation.
10. Exposed weld joints shall be finished straight and uniform.
11. Bolts mounted in a countersink shall not protrude from the surface of the parts concerned. There shall be free of obvious eccentricity between the bolt head and the countersink. The fixed pins may slightly protrude from the surface of the parts concerned. The bolt tail shall slightly protrude from the end face of the nut.
